S&L | Villa

We present an ambitious restoration project that has transformed three stone ruins into a charming villa nestled in the picturesque hills of Ragusa.

Initially, we proceeded with the demolition of the old roof. Subsequently, new openings were created in the stone, and finally, we raised the ridge level, thereby expanding the volume of the villa and generating a second floor at the first level. The ground floor features a modern kitchen with an island and a cozy living room, along with a bathroom, laundry room, and three bedrooms, including the master bedroom with a walk-in closet. The upper floor, accessible via an external walkway, has been adapted to accommodate a holiday home with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen living area illuminated by Velux windows among the wooden beams. All of this is surrounded by over a hectare of land, with ongoing plans for pergolas, a pool, and a barbecue area.

The refined combination of Ragusa stone, white plaster, Slovenian Oak wood fixtures, and neutral tones has turned what was once an old ruin into a comfortable villa ideal for a young family with two small children.
